NATIONAL SEATING & MOBILITY PARTNERS WITH EKSO BIONICS, INC. AS EXCLUSIVE EKSO INDEGO® PERSONAL EXOSKELETON DISTRIBUTOR IN THE CRT INDUSTRY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2025) — National Seating & Mobility (NSM), a leading provider of complex rehabilitation technology (CRT), mobility and accessibility solutions in North America, has announced a partnership with Ekso Bionics Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EKSO) (Ekso Bionics®), an industry leader in exoskeleton technology for medical and industrial use, to broaden access to the Ekso Indego®-powered exoskeleton device for individuals living with spinal cord injuries and other mobility challenges throughout the North America. The agreement establishes NSM as the exclusive Ekso Indego Personal distributor in the CRT industry.

Ekso Indego Personal is a wearable lower extremity powered exoskeleton that enables many individuals living with spinal cord injuries (SCIs) the ability to stand and walk independently. It is the only known portable exoskeleton device to offer a modular quick connect design, which was engineered to allow users to put on and take off the device without assistance. Ekso Indego is the lightest known commercial exoskeleton available offering ease of handling, transportation, and storage which enables individuals to use it as an adjunct mobility to their custom wheelchair. Also offering an advanced gait mode, individuals with a SCI using the device have been shown to reach faster walking speeds, granting them a new level of independence in the community.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”), in the 2024 Home Health PPS rule, added exoskeletons to Medicare’s brace benefit category, which expanded coverage of personal-use devices like the Esko Indego. This decision allowed for first steps toward qualified individuals gaining access to this life-changing technology.
